Donate to our Production Fund!

The Southern Documentary Fund is the Fiscal Sponsor of our film, The Donor.
That means any donation processed through their organization of $250 or more gets a tax write-off!
To date, we’ve raised every single cent of our production funding from small personal donors.
This is a completely crowdfunded project.
How can your funds help?
A few more interviews…
As with most documentaries, along the way, we’ve met incredible people and learned a massive amount of additional information as we went. That led us to identify three more vital figures we’d like to interview before we call it a wrap:

Colorado State Senator Steve Fenberg
Former Senator who passed the only law on the books about assigned donor limits.
This is described as a ‘landmark decision’ by industry experts. Steve lives in Colorado.
Alice Ruby, MPH, MPPM
Alice serves as the Executive Director of The Sperm Bank of California, the first LGBTQ plus friendly sperm bank in the nation. She will speak to us about their unique history, ethical approach and the big business of sperm. Alice lives and works in Berkeley, CA.

Dr. Aimee Eyvazzadeh, MD, MPH
A physician and reproductive expert who counsels patients and takes to the streaming to the web to host a fertility focused show that answers questions and helps families seeking knowledge in the fertility world. She resides in the East Bay Area.
Finishing funds…
In our media-savvy society, I’m sure you’ve heard the term ‘finishing funds’ before. We have certain needs for post-production that we require funding for. They are (but aren’t limited to) the following;
- Animation / Graphics Creation
- Footage / Image Licensing
- Music Licensing / Composing
What’s next?
With your finishing funds, we can put the remainder of these interviews on a schedule and in the can. With that, all that’s left is editing and the remainder of our funds will go to securing the additional media it will take to finish the project. We have had some in-kind post-production pledged from an old friend’s post-house and that is a massive gift to our production.
So please consider donating to our cause via the Southern Documentary Fund. A $250 donation or more gets you a tax write-off thanks to SDF’s non-profit status.
